We are a non profit organization set up to provide employment and training to people with disabilities.
The more used I.T equipment we receive means more jobs to people currently disadvantaged in the labour market.
Recycling these goods prevents unnecessary landfill space.
The recycled systems can then be donated or sold cheaply to voluntary groups, those on low incomes or educational bodies.
Revitalise’s workforce was initially composed mainly of people with learning disabilities, who worked alongside and received training from our experienced computer technicians.
As our turnover increases, we wish to offer training and paid employment to people with all kinds of disabilities, and those who are unemployed or face other disadvantages in employment.
About WEEE
Waste Electronic and Electrical Equipment (WEEE) is an area of growing environmental concern. In 1998, 6 million tonnes of WEEE were generated in the EU – in 12 years time this will have doubled. Growth rates are far higher than for average municipal waste. In the UK alone, 398,000 tonnes of WEEE are generated each year – around 90% of this goes into landfill. revITalise aims to provide an alternative – recycle, reuse, revITalise
