Important volunteering information

References and availability

As part of the booking process you will need to provide the contact information for two references. Please also tell us your preferred dates and availability to volunteer.

Background checks

All volunteers from the UK will need an enhanced DBS (Disclosure Barring Service) check which must cover an Adult Workforce before they can volunteer. We will go through this process with you after you have applied. This can take 4-6 weeks to process so please bear this in mind when choosing your dates to volunteer with us.

Revitalise and Equal Opportunities

Revitalise operates an equal opportunity policy to ensure that no person will be treated less favourably than any other person or group of persons because of their age, creed, disability, ethnic or national origin, gender, marital status, political opinion, race, religion or belief, sexual orientation or social position.

If you live outside of the UK within the EEA, we will require an official, original ‘Certificate of Good Conduct’ from the national Police agency of your home country. This should give details of any previous criminal convictions including those considered spent and must be translated into English.

Volunteers from abroad

Overseas volunteers can volunteer for up to 30 days on a tourism visa. For volunteering duration of more than 30 days, we are unable to offer Tier 5 sponsorship without an agency. Please email us and we will signpost you to the agencies that we work with.

Please note that unfortunately we are unable to accept volunteers from abroad under the age of 18. We will be in touch about the relevant next steps for you after you have completed the booking form.
